Our small network of landscape architects practice across a variety of settings. We specialise in creating person-scale spaces in the urban realm, including gardens and public spaces. We believe having access to inspiring outdoor spaces is an essential part of human existence, offering an array of emotional and physical benefits. We try to make these benefits accessible through intelligent and affordable design processes. All of our design services include engaging forms of practice designed to create the best possible outcome for your space.

Our innovative e-design service allows us to create visions for outdoor spaces remotely and efficiently, reducing typical design costs significantly. Check out our e-design page to see if this might be a suitable option for you.

how do we work?

make the space you live in a work of art

Aside from our e-design services, we can offer you our in person consultation process which we’ve honed over the years. Our initial scoping stage involves exposing you to a variety of design directions, ensuring that we unearth and explore a full kaleidoscope of potential outcomes. With a completed survey of your site, we bind various potential designs to your space, allowing you to digest what might be possible in terms of both style and implementability.

Once a preferred direction has been identified, we can start to develop a more informed design. This stage typically involves ongoing dialogue and revisions until you are happy with the design. The final stage of the design process involves consolidating a detailed design into a format which you can use to take forward towards implementation.

the art of placemaking

Any new landscape project is an opportunity to create a new place. At Outlandish Landscape Architects, the places we design tell stories, sparking curiosity and conversation. The story could begin with a nod to an evocative style that stimulates the user, or familiar vernacular material. It could even be in the naming or framing of a place that changes existing perceptions.

This is the art of placemaking. Our design processes are crafted to ensure we find a spark that can skewer these stories through our designs, creating spaces that inspire feelings of attachment and fulfillment that strengthen over time.

If you’re looking for that richer process and outcome from a landscape designer, we not get in touch to see what we could do for you and your space?
